 What is the status of the interpellation database? 

Sogei's aim has always been to support the administration in simplifying tasks for citizens and businesses. The 'Simplified Consultation' project has seen the realisation, as early as 2025, of a solution based on artificial intelligence algorithms which, using all the legislation in force and the documentation produced by the Inland Revenue offices as an information base, makes it possible to quickly identify the most relevant documents in relation to a query and prepare a draft answer, to be proposed to the official for appropriate evaluation.

And on tax justice?

Through a public portal set up as early as 2024 for the Department of Tax Justice, we have offered consultation and search functionalities on about 900,000 documents that are part of the 'Tax Jurisprudence' database and that will soon be enriched by AI algorithms to facilitate search activities for the benefit not only of central state administrations but also of local authorities and professionals.

Artificial intelligence is increasingly taking centre stage. Are you using it in applications to support the fight against evasion? 

As early as 2025, Sogei set up an AI Lab with the aim of defining technological and process frameworks useful for building modular solutions for the various administrations that have the characteristics of sovereignty and reusability and that cover four categories: document analysis, image analysis, data analysis, code analysis. Today, therefore, Sogei is not only engaged in experimentation phases, but in the running of numerous services already in operation and based on generative artificial intelligence, from virtual assistants to the analysis of images of luxury goods with a view to anti-counterfeiting, to advanced search systems to make administrative processes simple and fast.

The administration of big data, however, raises the strategic issue of cybersecurity. What kind of investments are you making in this area? What defences are in place against hacker attacks? 

Sogei is recognised as an IT infrastructure of national interest and is included in the national cyber security perimeter. It is at the forefront of the adoption of the most advanced technologies and invests in strengthening technical and organisational defences with the aim of ensuring that citizens' data are not only adequately protected, but also enhanced to improve the quality of public services. The ability to manage and secure these volumes of data is essential for preserving citizens' trust and accompanying the country's digital growth.
