(Spring) pre-filled tax return fever, or perhaps refund fever to speed up the timetable for the return of any credits arising from deductions and deductions. In less than ten days (the sending channels were only opened in the evening of Monday 20 May) the pre-filled declarations already sent in by citizens number over a million, 28% more than in the same period last year. This was announced by the Inland Revenue in a press note clarifying that about 987,000 are 730 models and the remaining are Personal Income models. According tothe figures provided by the Agency, 60% of the taxpayers who sent the 730 chose the new simplified mode, debuting on an experimental basis this year. While accesses (logins) to the service totalled around 9.560 million.

60% chose simplified

.

More than one million (1,004,184) declarations have already been transmitted by citizens in the first eight days since the channel was opened for sending them (on 20 May). Of these, 986,641 are 730s: in more than 60% of cases, taxpayers have opted for the new simplified mode without codes and lines but with the new sections in plain text (such as 'family', 'home', 'work', 'expenses') to accept and transmit, with or without changes, the 2024 declaration.

Some 9.560 million logins have been registered by the system since 30 April, when the pre-filled forms were made available for simple consultation. To view and send the declaration, it is sufficient to enter one's reserved area with Spid, Cie or Cns. In addition, it is always possible to delegate a family member or trusted person.

Continuous Monitoring

.

Already in recent days, after the alarms raised also by the ANC (National Association of Chartered Accountants), the Inland Revenue Agency had clarified on its social channels that 'the 2024 pre-filled declarations made available to citizens as of 20 May, the first day for sending them, do not contain any anomalies'. In fact, 'when inaccuracies are detected in the data, the declarations concerned are promptly reworked and this is done before citizens have a chance to transmit them to the Revenue Agency'.

Therefore, the Agency again pointed out, 'thanks to continuous monitoring, taxpayers do not suffer any setbacks and can use the free web service made available at www.agenziaentrate.gov.it without the need to turn to tax assistance centres or professionals'.
