Teacher's card drops to EUR 383 (but extends to 253,000 more precarious workers)
Eligible expenses also include passenger transport services and the purchase of musical instruments.
The teacher's charter for the 2025/2026 school year is unblocked. With two novelties. The first is that it is extended to an additional 253,000 precarious workers, as has long been demanded by case law. The second is that the amount drops to EUR 383.
Starting 9 March
The card, a statement issued by MIM announced, will be activated from Monday 9 March. As a result of the judicial rulings, the card has been extended to teachers with annual supply contracts on vacant and available positions until 31 August, to teachers with temporary supply contracts until the end of teaching activities on 30 June, and to educational staff in boarding schools and boarding schools
The audience involved
A total number of beneficiaries of more than 1 million teachers: more than 200,000 more than last year when there had already been an increase, for a total of 253,000 more teachers than originally envisaged by the Charter.
Eligible expenses
In addition, the eligible expenditure categories were expanded in order to strengthen the opportunities for teachers. In addition to the purchase of books, magazines, training and further education activities, museums, exhibitions, theatres, and the purchase of hardware and software, provision has also been made, for the first time, for transport services and the purchase of musical instruments.
