Teatro alla Scala, Bracco Group new supporting partner
The 2027 income statement and the new season, which will be announced to the public on 29 May, were presented to the board of directors
The network of private supporters of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan is expanding, with the Bracco Group joining as a founding supporting partner. The entry was approved by the foundation's board of directors, to which the superintendent also presented the new 2026-2027 season, which will be presented in detail to the press and public next week, and the 2027 income statement.
The outlook for the theatre, which is already starting work for the 250th anniversary celebrations in 2028, is positive: in 2025 La Scala recorded a record in ticket sales (with 36.5 million euros in revenue, +3% over 2024) and a profit of 200,000 euros.
Foundation Accounts
The value of production amounted to 133.2 million euro, up by 3% compared to the previous year. In detail, revenues from opera increased by 1.4 million and those from ballet by 1.1 million, also thanks to an increase in the number of spectators.
The auditorium occupancy rate was 95 per cent for opera (up from 92 per cent in the previous year and 80 per cent in 2019), and 92 per cent for dance, an increase of 4 per cent in one season.
New Founding Member
"We have always had a very strong bond with music, and our commitment to La Scala also stems from our family tradition," said Diana Bracco, president and CEO of the Bracco Group and president of the Bracco Foundation. "From supporting the first symphonic and chamber concerts to publications dedicated to performers, from scholarships for young musicians to the many opera evenings, from exhibitions to major tours, La Scala has always been part of our life and our cultural projects. We are therefore happy with this further step and I am personally very pleased that the new season at La Scala aims at renewing the audience by paying attention to the new generations".
