Luca Luciani, CEO of Telepass, a Mundys Group company active in electronic toll collection and integrated mobility, together with Aldo Agostinelli, Chief Consumer Revenues Officer of Telepass, announce the new model destined to innovate the use of electronic toll collection and mobility in Italy: Telepass Grab&Go.

Today, Telepass covers about 75 % of the value of Italian motorway traffic and, in Italy alone, there are 9.6 million Telepass devices allowing automatic toll payment and access to other urban mobility services. It is estimated, however, that another 20 million motorway travellers have not yet 'converted' to electronic toll collection: occasional travellers, visiting foreigners, and 'out-of-town' workers who return to their home country a few times a year. Grab&Go, the first on-demand Telepass designed for those who travel by car occasionally but do not want to give up the convenience of Telepass without paying monthly fees, is aimed at this audience.

Grab&Go is a major step in this direction: it can be purchased off the shelf and has no fixed subscription costs. The purchase cost of the device is EUR 29.90. One euro per day is charged only on the days when the electronic toll system is actually used, and one euro per day when the other services are used; no charge is made when the device is not in use. It is activated in seconds from the App thanks to the smartphone's Nfc technology.

The new device makes it possible to use the main Telepass services: in addition to electronic toll collection on the entire national network, the payment of contracted parking spaces, blue lines and ferries to the Strait of Messina. Through the app, it will be possible to digitally manage journeys, activate insurance coverage, receive transit notifications, reminders and alerts and, finally, enable up to two number plates at the same time. This innovation represents the easiest gateway to the Telepass ecosystem. It is a paradigm shift, in line with Luca Luciani's long-term strategy to make this service an inclusive, flexible tool in both motorway and urban environments.

With the launch of Grab&Go the company marks a strategic and cultural revolution: the iconic Italian motorway device leaves traditional channels, becomes the property of the customer and is positioned in the retail world, on the shelves and ready for use after activation. The new device can be purchased in large organised distribution (MediaWorld, Unieuro, Esselunga), consumer electronics and motorbike accessories. A distribution network with an ambitious expansion plan, which includes, among others, petrol stations and e-commerce (Amazon), with the goal of reaching one thousand points of sale with capillary coverage across the country and beyond within the year, and up to six thousand points in the near future. Meanwhile, Cellularline, a company listed on Euronext Milan (Star Segment), announces the signing of an agreement with Telepass to support the distribution of the new Grab&Go product in Italy and Europe.

The company controlled by Mundys thus aims to strongly strengthen the penetration of the Obu (On-Board Unit, i.e. electronic equipment installed in vehicles to enable electronic toll payment) in Italy and to become more and more an integrated and intermodal urban mobility platform.

Telepass interconnects more than 240,000 kilometres of roads and motorways in 17 European countries. In 2024, Telepass ended the year with a turnover of EUR 436 million. Net profit grew by +24% to EUR 34 million in 2023. As of 2025, the rolling EBITDA - calculated from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025 - is EUR 235 million, while the estimated Ebitda run rate at the end of the year is around EUR 300 million.
