Ten years imprisonment for Andrea Beretta, former leader of the Inter Milan Curva Nord and collaborator of justice, accused of killing Antonio Bellocco, who was also in the Nerazzurri ultrà board and scion of the 'ndrangheta clan, and for criminal association with mafia aggravation. And ten years imprisonment also for Luca Lucci, leader of the Milan Curva Sud accused as instigator of the attempted murder of the ultras Enzo Anghinelli and of criminal association. These are two of the sentences issued by Milan's gup Rossana Mongiardo in the abbreviated trial with several strands on the San Siro curves.

The trial was against a total of 16 ultras, including curve leaders and associates, and stemmed from the investigation by the Milan DDA prosecutors Paolo Storari and Sara Ombra, which led to the maxi blitz in September by the police and Gdf with 19 arrests.

As the first-degree trial came to an end, outside the bunker courtroom the Rossoneri ultrà of the Curva Sud organised a solidarity garrison. For Beretta, the prosecutors had asked for nine years, while for Lucci, the same prosecutors had asked for 10 years.

In addition to the convictions of ultrà leaders Andrea Beretta and Luca Lucci, Milan's gup Rossana Mongiardo also sentenced 14 other defendants, including Lucci's deputy in the Curva Sud, Daniele Cataldo, who is also believed to be the material executor of the 2019 attempted murder of Milan ultrà Enzo Anghinelli. Marco Ferdico, who was also one of the leaders of the North Curva directives before last September's arrests, was sentenced to eight years, as requested by DDA prosecutor Paolo Storari. The judge recognised all the charges contested by the Milanese DDA, including criminal conspiracy, one even with mafia aggravation. He did not recognise only one count of extortion, among many other charges. To the relatives of Antonio Bellocco, 'ndranghetista and in the board of the Curva Nord and killed by Beretta in September, the gup recognised a provisional compensation of EUR 520,000 against the former ultrà leader.

In addition to the 16 sentences handed down to ultrà leaders and associates in the abbreviated trial on the San Siro curves, Milan judge Rossana Mongiardo also awarded damages to the defendants, for financial and image damages, in favour of the civil parties Lega Serie A, with lawyer Salvatore Pino, Inter, with lawyers Francesco Mucciarelli, Adriano Raffaelli and Caroline Hassoun, and Milan, with lawyer Enrico de Castiglione. The Lega Serie A was awarded an immediately enforceable provisional compensation of EUR 20,000, and the two clubs EUR 50,000 each. The rest of the compensation will be paid in civil cases.
