Terme di Saturnia is investing 15 million in innovation
To reach and exceed €35 million in turnover by the end of 2027, whilst continuing to invest in quality and innovation through the complete refurbishment of the spa facilities: is the objective of Terme di Saturnia Natural Destination, which closed 2025 with a turnover of 28.2 million, up by around 10 per cent on the previous year. This result confirms a path of steady and structured growth: from 2019 to the present, the company has recorded an overall increase of 64 per cent, with an average annual growth rate of 8.6 per cent.
These figures are also borne out by visitor numbers: over 60,000 guests stayed at the resort during 2025, with a total of 31,600 room nights sold and more than 110,000 meals served in the destination’s restaurants. In addition, there were over 105,000 visits recorded across the spa and club facilities, reflecting an increasingly diverse and international demand. At the same time, the company’s workforce has grown; it now employs around 250 direct staff, and this positive trend is set to continue into 2026. In fact, the first five months of the year saw a 10 per cent increase compared with the same period in 2025, a figure higher than the average recorded over the last six years.
“This result reflects a consistent path of development, built by investing in the quality of the experience, in our people and in the ability to ensure Terme di Saturnia continues to evolve without losing its most authentic identity,” comments General Manager Antonello Del Regno. Our strength lies in the spring and the unique value of the location, but it is the integrated vision of the destination – encompassing hospitality, wellbeing, health, dining and the local area – that makes it increasingly recognisable and relevant to both Italian and international visitors. We look to the future with great confidence, continuing to innovate and raise the standard of our offering with the aim of generating lasting value for our guests, our staff and the entire local area around us.”
Following the refurbishment carried out two years ago, thanks to the 15 million investment plan for 2026 and 2027, four junior suites with thermal pools – each featuring a private thermal bath – will be opened by this summer, the new Roman bath and a new sauna in the spring gardens, as well as the new spa reception area and The Saturnia Suite, alongside a subtle refurbishment of the bar.
In September, another significant milestone in the development of Terme di Saturnia will be the expansion of its medical spa offering through the official launch of Saturnia Natural Longevity, an evolution of the Terme di Saturnia method, with a vision focused on longevity based on diagnostics, scientific evidence and the utilisation of the sulphurous thermal water from the Saturnia spring.
