Tesla with the new Model Y Performance available from September at a price of 62 thousand euro is aiming at a model that could prove to be a breakthrough. In addition to the new contents already introduced by the restyling at the beginning of the year, the latest arrival, the Performance, adds both an unprecedented aesthetic level and, above all, better performance.
Restyled aesthetics and 16-inch display
.Starting with the exterior aesthetics, the new Tesla offers sportier bumpers and a carbon fibre spoiler to ensure greater stability at high speeds. There is also a new 16-inch touchscreen with almost 80 per cent more pixels than the 15.4-inch display that comes with the other variants of the new Model Y.
460 hp and 0-100 in 3.5 seconds
.The innovative focus of the new Tesla Performance is concentrated in the car's power output estimated at 460 hp, which allows, among other things, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds for a top speed of 250 km/h. The aerodynamic care guarantees consumption of 16.2 kWh/100 for an estimated range of 580 km.
New energy-intensive battery
.The battery pack has also been upgraded with high energy density cells that aim to provide more energy without increasing the weight of the car. This results in scorching acceleration, but without compromising energy efficiency. The new Tesla benefits from updated chassis components.
New components for a more responsive set-up
.Supporting the performance increase are new springs, anti-roll bars and bushings that ensure a more responsive ride. The new adaptive suspension system also uses a renewed control algorithm that extends the driving capabilities of an SUV such as the Y.
