There are 110 companies in Lombardy (43 from Milan, 33 from Monza Brianza, 34 from Lodi) and 184 workers (134 from Milan, 32 from Monza Brianza, 18 from Lodi) who this year received the 'Impresa e Lavoro' (Enterprise and Work) Award promoted by the Chamber of Commerce of Milan Monza Brianza Lodi, considered the 'Ambrogino delle Imprese' (Ambrogino of Companies) and presented during a ceremony at La Scala Theatre.
Six special mentions in social work
.In addition, there is a special award, 'Impresa e Valore', reserved for six companies that in recent years have distinguished themselves for social responsibility actions and commitment to developing cohesion initiatives with the territory and communities to which they belong. Five from Milan: Cum Panis, a benefit company; Krill Design; Open Terzo Settore; Rice House benefit company; Roadrunnerfoot Engineering; and Kolinpharma of Lainate.
Among the companies awarded the 'Impresa e Lavoro' prize, the Sangalli Giuliano watchmaking company, founded in 1900 and in continuous operation for 113 years, stands out for its longevity.
The purpose of the award
.The award, a historical recognition instituted by the Chambers of Commerce (renewed and unified in 2018 for the provinces of Milan, Monza Brianza and Lodi), aims to valorise and publicise the stories of employees and companies that have been continuously committed to the development of the social and economic system of their territories for years. Among the award-winning workers was Tiziana Varisco, an employee of the Pavesi Giovanni and Giacomini Anna company in Limbiate (Monza and Brianza).
"In these particularly complex and digital times, the Impresa e Lavoro award wants to be an acknowledgement of the centrality of the person," said Carlo Sangalli, president of the Milan, Monza Brianza Lodi Chamber of Commerce. "Because at the basis of any innovation and any entrepreneurial story there is and must be the creative, generative value of men and women.
