The Bentley Torcal: the British brand’s first electric car and also the most powerful in its history
It has a range of over 600 km and features super-fast charging, without compromising on comfort or performance. The first deliveries are scheduled for next year.

Bentley has unveiled the Torcal, the first electric car from the British premium brand within the VW Group, and it is the first all-new model since the launch of the Bentayga, around a decade ago. The Torcal is an SUV, but it is battery-powered, as well as being more compact and faster. Designed, developed and manufactured in the UK, it is based on the Porsche Cayenne Electric platform and joins the brand’s range alongside Bentley’s petrol and hybrid models, which remain available. It features all-wheel drive. The Torcal is 498 cm long – 16 cm shorter than the Bentayga – and is lower, measuring 167 cm in height, whilst its width is 202 cm. Production is set to begin in the second quarter of 2027, whilst orders are already being taken.
The top-of-the-range model delivers 888 cv
The Bentley Torcal is powered by two permanent-magnet synchronous electric motors delivering a maximum power output of 888 cv and 1,350 Nm, making it the most powerful Bentley ever built. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, whilst its top speed is 260 km/h. In terms of driving dynamics, the Torcal features active suspension with adaptive twin-valve dampers that control body movements. Despite its sports car-like performance, the new Bentley has a range of 600 km. The 800-volt architecture enables a charging power of 400 kW DC, allowing the battery to be charged from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in just 16 minutes.
Smart Seat Climate System
This British SUV doesn’t compromise on practicality either: the boot has a capacity of 460 litres, plus a further 90 litres in the front storage compartment – located under the bonnet – which is handy for stowing charging cables. Whilst its performance is on a par with a supercar, the interior of the Bentley Torcal focuses above all on comfort. New features include seats with a massage function that extends to both the seat cushions and backrests, dedicated posture adjustments and the Smart Seat Climate system, which automatically manages passengers’ thermal comfort. There is also a new panoramic glass roof with variable transparency, which ensures excellent light levels inside the car’s cabin – a real bonus, especially on long journeys.
