Kristin Cabot, the personnel manager of the US technology company Astronomer, who was filmed during a Coldplay concert while hugging the company's CEO Andy Byron, has resigned. The company let the BBC know that Cabot no longer works for them. His departure follows that of Byron who left last week after the company announced he would be put on leave and investigated for the affair.
CEO caught with mistress (and colleague) at Coldplay concert resigned
Andy Byron paid dearly for an evening of entertainment at the Coldplay concert near Boston. The CEO of Astronomer, an American tech company, was first suspended from his post and then, when it was Saturday night in Italy, resigned.
'As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding,' the company wrote in a note, posted on Linkedin. 'Our leaders are expected to set standards in both conduct and accountability, and recently those standards have not been met. Andy Byron has tendered his resignation and the Board of Directors has accepted it. The Board will begin the search for our next CEO, while co-founder and Product Director Pete DeJoy will continue as interim CEO. Before this week, we were known as pioneers in the DataOps industry, helping data teams power everything from modern analytics to production artificial intelligence. Although the perception of our company may have changed overnight, our product and our work for our customers has not.
Andy Byron on Wednesday evening 16 July 2025 had been 'pinched' by the kiss-cam in the embrace of a woman. Too bad it was not his wife Megan Kerrigan, but Kristin Cabot, the group's head of human resources, hired by Byron himself last November. According to Axios, the woman was also suspended.
The video immediately went viral on social networks, especially because Coldplay's lead singer, Chris Martin, seeing that the two, as soon as they were on camera, went out of their way to hide, thoughtfully underlined this with a mocking phrase, 'either those two have an affair, a clandestine relationship, or they are very shy'.
