Crans massacre, Constellation owner detained, house arrest and bracelet for wife
Measures ordered by the prosecutor's office in Sion, also to limit the woman's danger of absconding
The Prosecutor's Office in Sion applied to the Coercive Measures Court for house arrest with an electronic bracelet for Jessica Moretti, owner with her husband of the Constellation. This request for a 'substitute' measure is aimed at 'limiting the danger of flight' of the woman.
The prosecutor of Sion, Beatrice Pilloud, had also previously ordered a precautionary restraining order against Jacques Moretti, the owner of the Constellation, the venue that was the scene of the strage on New Year's Eve in Crans Montana. At the end of today's interrogation, the man left the courthouse in a cantonal police vehicle. His wife, Jessica Moretti, left the prosecutor's office accompanied by her lawyers.
On 8 January, the public prosecutor's office of Rome opened an investigation file into the fire in Crans-Montana (Canton Valais, Switzerland) that claimed 40 lives, six of them Italian. The case is being prosecuted for manslaughter and fire. The tragedy took place in the night between 31 December and 1 January 2026 in the bas Le Constellation.
