Fiat Grande Panda awarded Newcomer of the Year 2026
It was elected by the readers of the motoring monthly Quattroruote, who chose the Italian compact SUV as one of the most interesting new entries of the last twelve months of 2025
The Fiat Grande Panda won the title of Newcomer of the Year 2026 awarded by Quattroruote readers. With 12 per cent of the vote, the compact car from the Italian brand of Stellantis came out on top in a digital referendum that saw 20 of the most significant new cars launched last year compete. The compact SUV outperformed all pretenders by a whisker, leaving the other two steps of the podium respectively to the Audi Q3 with 11 per cent of preferences and the BMW iX3 with 9 per cent. So after the Alfa Romeo of 2025, the Fiat 600e of 2024 and the Alfa Romeo Tonale of 2023, for the fourth year in a row an Italian car won the award given by Quattroruote readers. Special prizes also went to the Maserati MCPura for its sportiness, the Ferrari SC40 one-off among the Lifystyles and the Audi Concept C for its references to the TT. Finally, the Volt category dedicated to battery-powered models, including quadricycles, saw the Citroen Ami prevail.
