Supported by Scabec funds and the Campania Region, the 'Il Fiordo delle Terre del Bussento' project represents a bold proposal to renew the tourist reception based on the scenic and historical beauty of its five municipalities: Sapri, Torraca, Ispani, Morigerati and Tortorella. Each participating municipality contributes its own unique history and characteristics.
Sapri, the project leader, with its beaches and rich historical heritage, is the ideal starting point for exploring the 'Fiordo delle Terre del Bussento'. Torraca, located between the Cocuzzo and Serralunga mountains, on the other hand, offers a peaceful setting and breathtaking views, enriched by the Palamolla Castle and local culinary traditions. Ispani, with its strategic position along the Cilento coast, is famous for its crystal-clear waters and pristine environment, ideal for activities such as trekking and birdwatching. Morigerati is renowned for its Natural Park; Tortorella is a pretty medieval village steeped in history, with a historical centre that still retains the atmosphere of ancient traditions.
The entire area is characterised by the richness of a healthy and sustainable way of life rooted in local products such as Alici di Menaica, Fico Bianco del Cilento and Extra Virgin Olive Oil PDO.
The project includes innovative interventions such as the creation of a website and a mobile app that guide visitors through cultural, food and wine and nature itineraries. A system of interactive digital murals provides real-time information and a camper van area welcomes travellers on the road.
A key element is the creation of a albergo diffuso in historic centres, which not only revitalises historic buildings, but also promotes responsible and integrated tourism in the local community. The establishment of a one-stop tourist information centre and the digitisation of cultural offerings improve accessibility and enjoyment of local resources.
