The Government: 70 million from the 8 per mille to school buildings

The Council of Ministers, at the proposal of President Giorgia Meloni, resolved on the allocation of the eight per thousand share of the Irpef directly managed by the State for the year 2025, for a total amount of 235,034,335.00 euro.

The resolution was adopted pursuant to Article 47, paragraph 3, third sentence of Law No 222 of 20 May 1985, Article 8, paragraph 2, of Decree-Law No 105 of 10 August 2023, and Article 2-bis, paragraph 1, of Presidential Decree No 76 of 10 March 1998. This is what is stated in the final communiqué of the Cdm.

The measure divides the allocation into euro 154,887,626.765 relative to the choices expressed by taxpayers and euro 80,146,708.235 relative to non-expressed choices. As regards the resources deriving from the choices expressed, allocated on the basis of the percentages communicated by the Revenue Agency, the allocation provides for 24,186,962.75 euro for hunger in the world, 28,714,462.32 euro for natural disasters, 13,798,272.65 euro for assistance to refugees and unaccompanied foreign minors, 22,385,905.27 euro for the preservation of cultural heritage, and 70,007,622.38 euro for school buildings. With regard to the share referring to non-expressed choices, the resolution allocates euro 16,029,341.65 to the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, as prescribed by Law No. 125 of 2014, euro 20,000,000.00 to the category prevention of and recovery from drug addiction and other pathological addictions, euro 24,868,823.63 to the category natural disasters and euro 19,248,542.96 to the category preservation of cultural heritage.

Any remaining sums will be allocated by a subsequent resolution, in accordance with the social, humanitarian or extraordinary purposes set out in the 1985 law.
