The Guido Carli Prize in its 17th edition

Putting your commitment at the service of the entire community, not only in areas where it may seem more obvious - such as public order - but also in entertainment or fashion. This is the spirit shared by the twelve award-winners of the 17th edition of the Guido Carli Prize, scheduled for 8 May, at 5.30 p.m., at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome. An initiative awarded the medal of the President of the Republic, conferred by Head of State Sergio Mattarella, which will be displayed on the stage.
Armani's commitment
The theme of fashion will be central. In fact, the event will begin with a tribute to the Maison Armani, eight months after the death of its founder. And among the honorees will be the CEO of Giorgio Armani Spa Giuseppe Marsocci.
"My grandfather," said Romana Liuzzo, president of the Guido Carli Foundation, creator of the initiative and granddaughter of the statesman, "had faith in the ethics of measure, the same that Giorgio Armani honoured with his rare ability to strip away the superfluous to leave only the essential.
Awards also in the show
Together with Masocci, the commanding general of the Carabinieri, Salvatore Luongo, and the managing director and general manager of A2A, Renato Mazzoncini, will receive the award for the company's energy contribution. But also, as mentioned, personalities from show business and television, such as presenter and dancer Lorella Cuccarini, actress Anna Ferzetti, and journalist Francesca Fagnani. "The common thread," explained Liuzzo, "is care: the importance of feeling the responsibility for the wellbeing of others on one's own shoulders. The same principle that the Foundation has pursued in recent years with its redevelopment projects in Caivano and San Basilio. 'We try to set a good example,' concluded the president.
The jury and the audience
The prizes will be awarded by a thirteen-member jury, including Gino Cecchettin. The event will also involve institutions. Not only on stage, with video interventions by EU Commission Vice-President Raffaele Fitto and Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi, but also in the stands, with the presence of Civil Protection Chief Fabio Ciciliano and Rome Prefect Lamberto Giannini, as well as ambassadors, actors and well-known faces.
