The Italian Sea Group: the court has appointed the administrators
The Court has already issued its ‘directions’ regarding the crisis procedure. Niccolò Abriani, Riccardo Forgheschi and Manuela Olastri have been appointed
The administrators have finally arrived. The Italian Sea Group has announced – as previously reported, on 1 July 2026 – that ‘an application to enter into a crisis resolution procedure pursuant to Article 44 of the Crisis Code has been filed with the Court of Florence’. “The Court initiated the proceedings with particular promptness, appointing the judicial administrators – Niccolò Abriani, Riccardo Forgheschi and Manuela Olastri – as early as 3 July, and setting out further provisions regarding the conduct of the proceedings.” “In its ruling, the Court noted that the crisis resolution plan drawn up by Tisg is coherently structured with a view to business continuity,” the company explained
Next steps
The company “is granted a period of sixty days, which may be extended, to submit the final plan and the resulting proposal”. “In the meantime, business operations will continue as normal, in accordance with the rules of the procedure and under the umbrella of the protective measures already in force since 1 July, with effects essentially equivalent to those previously envisaged from 16 March 2026 under C”, concludes The Italian Sea Group.
