The new 24 ORE NextMed platform is now fully realised as a multimedia platform
In this way, the Il Sole 24 ORE Group is shining a permanent strategic spotlight on the future of the wider Mediterranean. From 22 June, the digital hub 24orenextmed.com will launch online, featuring exclusive content in Italian, English and Arabic. On 24 June, the podcast “Nome in codice” will begin, followed on 25 June by the video series “Confini” on IlSole24OreTV.
22 June 2026 marks the launch of the multimedia development of 24 ORE NextMed, the Il Sole 24 ORE Group’s editorial and strategic platform designed to report on and interpret the evolving development trajectories of the wider Mediterranean region.
With the launch of the dedicated website, 24orenextmed.com, the multilingual editorial hub in Italian, English and Arabic, designed to broaden the reach of its content and engage with an international audience. The project complements the coverage already launched in the daily newspaper on 9 June with a continuous stream of updates on key issues in the Euro-Mediterranean region, strengthening a news presence that extends beyond traditional borders.
On this basis, 24 ORE NextMed has developed into a multi-platform ecosystem spanning all the Il Sole 24 ORE Group’s channels, from print to digital, from infographics to radio and the Radiocor agency, with the aim of providing a continuous and structured account of the geopolitical, economic and technological dynamics affecting the wider Mediterranean region, expanding the scope of the initiative through an editorial programme comprising exclusive, specialised and high-value-added content, distinctive formats suited to all consumption contexts, and initiatives that place the key players at the centre whilst actively engaging the entire relevant business community.
Competitiveness, training, safety, finance, internationalisation: these are just some of the topics that will feature daily on the editorial content of the website 24orenextmed.com, with interviews, analysis and features on industrial policy; major projects, such as Global Gateway or Imec; and in-depth features on individual countries. But it’s not just about geopolitics – it’s also about industrial development and opportunities for businesses. Water reform in Tunisia and the international players capitalising on it. The aerospace sector in Morocco. Cyber capabilities in Egypt and the market gaps that can be filled. But also critical infrastructure, or investments in the cold chain or the pharmaceutical sector, which interweaves activities across the Gulf, the EU and the Maghreb. Constant monitoring of developments in the underwater sector and ports, and their impact on the daily lives of businesses and citizens alike. To mark the launch, there will also be an in-depth feature on critical infrastructure in the Mare Nostrum, produced in collaboration with Lab24, the visual section of *Il Sole 24 Ore*.
And some of these topics in particular also provide material for multimedia reporting.
