Representatives of 'We are Church' will participate in the Jubilee of the Synod Teams in the Vatican at the end of October. This is a first, considering that the international movement is in dispute with the Holy See on so many issues, from the LGBT issue to the ordination of women, from the marriage of priests to economic reforms. The movement was invited to the Vatican by Card. Mario Grech, Secretary General of the Synod, from 24 to 26 October. The participants will pass through the Holy Door and "will also meet Pope Leo XIV", as the Vatican information portal also reports.

Jubilee of Lgbtq+ Christians on 6 September

Meanwhile, next 6 September at 3pm, the Jubilee pilgrimage, included in the Official General Calendar of the Jubilee, of Lgbtq+ Christians and their family members will take place, organised by the Tenda di Gionata, which has been promoting pastoral care for homosexuals for years. On Saturday 6 September they will pass through the Holy Door of St Peter's Basilica. This pilgrimage to the Holy Door will be preceded by a prayer vigil on Friday 5 September at 8pm in the Gesù Church in Rome and a mass on Saturday 6 September at 11am also in the Gesù Church. A specific meeting with Pope Leo is not currently planned for this jubilee event, but it is not ruled out either.
