In Copenhagen the award ceremony for Councillor Guidesi as part of the EU SME Assembly
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - The Lombardy Region has been rewarded in Europe for its policies in support of companies and in particular for the 'Quota Lombardia' measure, the instrument designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises aiming for growth through listing on the stock exchange. Today in Copenhagen, the regional councillor for economic development, Guido Guidesi, received the 'Special Mention Award' in the context of the European Small and Mid-Cap Awards 2025, the initiative promoted by EuropeanIssuers, the Federation of European Securities Exchanges (Fese), the European Investment Fund (Eif) and the European Commission to reward good practices aimed at fostering competitiveness and the processes of ecological and digital transition of SMEs. The nomination of the regional measure was proposed by Borsa Italiana, while the award ceremony took place during the annual European SME Assembly being held in the Danish capital. This is the first time an Italian public body has received this European award, established in 2013.
Guidesi: 'Award is a symbol of our help to enterprises'
"We are very pleased because this award symbolises the Lombardy Region's ability to help our companies grow and be new players in global markets. We would like to thank the Stock Exchange for its collaboration and candidature, and thanks in particular to our technical structure that works with abnegation and competence to define and activate instruments that are useful for companies and our economy," commented Councillor Guidesi. "Quota Lombardia allows companies not only to be listed but also to be stable, to invest thanks to new liquidity and to be able to act as the leader of sectoral supply chains, enabling other small companies to benefit indirectly. Moreover, this measure is a reaffirmation of the financial centrality of our region for the entire country,' he added.
The Measure
'Quota Lombardia' has a budget of EUR 25 million over the three-year period 2025-2027 and envisages, in particular, a non-repayable contribution of up to EUR 600,000 per company for the costs related to entering the stock exchange, including the costs of admission to listing and related advisory services.
