The Italian summer, in order to be experienced as such, must respect certain precise cornerstones. First of all, slowness, which means slowing down, having time for oneself and setting a new, more relaxing pace. The company, of family or friends, a time shared and to be planned, or enjoyed in serenity. It means holidaying or travelling, and therefore resting or discovering, choosing a single destination, a pivot for a stay of exploration in the surrounding area, or stages to be planned, among art, cuisine, sport, music, culture, the fundamental ingredients of the experience, whether one chooses the sea or the mountains, cities of art or an island. Bikes, trains and cars are the most suitable means of transport: they reconcile amazement thanks to a cruising speed that allows for the small stops or intermediate stages that are the spirit of travelling around the Peninsula.

One of these journeys, designed by Maserati on the model of a Grand Tour, begins with a stop in Turin: from 22 to 25 May, one discovers the Savoy capital and visits the exhibition "Paul Gauguin, the diary of NOA NOA and other adventures", 160 pieces paying homage to the artist, including, in addition to two canvases attributed to Gauguin himself, "Femme de Tahiti" and "Paysage Tahitien", works by Van Gogh and Millet. The exhibition's title itself echoes the book written by Gauguin after his first trip to Tahiti, including descriptions of life on the Polynesian islands, the myths and ancestral beliefs that punctuated everyday life.

Moving south, the second stop is in Rome from 5 to 8 June, near the Museo Storico della Fanteria. The road tour has been designed by the House of the Trident as a succession of destinations with an art focus, a way to discover the Grecale Urban suv, also through pop-ups located on site to book test-drives and experience the model's ad hoc configuration, which is also possible thanks to the new Officine Fuoriserie Maserati in Modena, where the customisation process relies on an innovative paint line designed to create the car more and more bespoke. In the Rome stop there will be the opportunity to visit the exhibition "Frida Kahlo: through the lens of Nickolas Muray", to investigate the artist's most personal dimension through the images taken by her close friend Nickolas Murray. Around 60 colour and black and white photographs, exhibited for the first time in the capital and taken between 1937 and 1946, portray Frida Kahlo alone, with Diego Rivera, with friends and with Murray.

The last stop on the tour is another cultured city in its artistic dimension, Milan: after the summer, the appointment is with the exhibition 'The 3 Greats of Spain: Picasso, Dali, Mirò', at the Fabbrica del Vapore, to immerse oneself in the triad that rethought the coordinates of 20th century art.

The tour also gives those interested the chance to discover the Maserati logo, designed one hundred years ago, in 1925, by Mario Maserati and inspired by the statue of the god Neptune in Piazza Maggiore in Bologna. In the centenary year of this symbol, Grecale Urban fits in as an additional stage in the celebrations, with an all-round proposal that ranges from the 4-cylinder mild hybrid to the 530 hp V6 Neptune engine, up to the 100 per cent electric propulsion.
