The Study Fund is relaunching as a fully digital service
Merit-based loans of up to €50,000 (€70,000 for a course taken abroad), repayable over 3–15 years
‘To young people I say: study hard and aim for excellence. With a minimum of 75/100 in your A-levels or 100/110 in your bachelor’s degree, you can access the 70% public guarantee provided by Consap, which allows you to obtain funding of up to €50,000 to study in Italia and up to €70,000 for courses abroad.” This was highlighted in recent days by the president of Consorzio servizi assicurativi pubblici Spa, Sestino Giacomoni, who emphasised that the Study Fund is now fully digitised and available to young people.
The Fund is intended not only for university students, but also for those who choose to enrol at ITS Academy, AFAM institutions, master’s programmes and language courses: ‘We want to offer young people a real opportunity to continue their education. If the obstacle is financial, the government is there to support them.’ The funding in question, which must be repaid over a period of three to fifteen years, may be disbursed in annual instalments of no more than €15,000 for each remaining year of study, provided that - for years following the first - this is accompanied by the successful completion of at least half of the exams required by the study plan for previous years or, for ITS Academies, by an attendance rate of no less than 80% of lessons.
