Digit'Ed acquires Sole 24 ORE Formazione, consolidating its reference role in professional education The 24 ORE Group enters the capital of Digit'Ed
The 24 ORE Group and Digit'Ed create a long-term strategic partnership with the aim of supporting the training of Human Capital and the competitiveness of the Country System. Within the framework of this agreement, Digit'Ed announces the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Sole 24 ORE Formazione S.p.A., while the 24 ORE Group enters the share capital of Digit'Ed, creating a shared industrial project for the development of the competencies of people, enterprises and organisations.
This partnership represents a key step in the consolidation of Digit'Ed's leadership in the professional, corporate and non-degree training segments and is fully consistent with the mission of the 24 ORE Group, for 160 years a reference point in Italy for economic culture and independent information.
As part of the transaction, Digit'Ed acquires 100% of the share capital of Sole 24 ORE Formazione S.p.A., following the sale of the respective stakes by Il Sole 24 ORE S.p.A. (15%) and Multiversity S.p.A. (85%). The completion of the transaction allows Digit'Ed to take full industrial and managerial control of the company, further strengthening its reference role in the education market.
At the same time, Il Sole 24 ORE S.p.A. reinvests a portion of the proceeds from the sale in Digit'Ed Holding S.p.A., a company that holds 100% of Digit'Ed S.p.A., through the acquisition of a minority interest in the holding company's capital, without impacting the 24 ORE Group's debt.
The agreement also includes the granting of an exclusive licence in favour of Digit'Ed S.p.A. for the world of training, through the use of the Sole 24 ORE Business School brand, with a consequent flow of revenues for Il Sole 24 ORE S.p.A..
