Attention to diversity, equity and inclusion issues has an ethical but also a business value, and more and more companies have decided to invest in these dimensions. Great Place to Work, a company that deals with corporate climate analysis and employer branding, has just published the ranking of the best 20 companies in Italy, which also sees SMEs stand out. The ranking sees in order: Teleperformance Italia, GalileoPro, Cisco Systems Italy, Bending Spoons (last year at the top of the ranking), Skylabs, Storeis, Hilton, American Express, Biogen Italia Srl, Agile Lab, unifix SWG Srl, ServiceNow, ConTe.it, Fiscozen, DHL Express, AbbVie, IoInvesto, Webranking, Mondelez, Vianova.
First runner-up
.Active and continuous listening, a regular feedback system and a strong sense of involvement. These are the elements that make Teleperformance Italia a company attentive not only to diversity and fairness but also - and above all - to inclusion. Because over the years the contact ceter and customer care group has developed a culture that is attentive to the uniqueness of each person, their needs and talents.
Not a slogan, but a concrete commitment: every year, Human Resources Manager Gianluca Bilancioni meets in person and individually with about 600 employees (out of a total of 2500 people) to find out how they are doing inside and outside the company. And if there are specific topics, everyone knows that they can write directly to him or to the managing director, Diego Pisa. Interactive listening that also translates into a system of continuous and bi-directional feedback both in presence and digitally.
Inclusiveness also passes through a sense of belonging and the awareness of being part of a group whose values and commitment are shared. In addition to the month dedicated to inclusion 'TP for Inclusion' - where every day there are moments of discussion and activities on the subject - the company has 'adopted' Paralympic athletes, whom it supports financially and logistically, and who have become testimonials and ambassadors of inclusiveness within the company. Through a series of webinars attended by up to 300 people each time, athletes like Leonardo Percoco share and transmit the sense of commitment and resilience, beyond different physical abilities, reinforcing an organisational culture where everyone is valuable and can give the best of themselves, with their own specificities that are not limitations but become strengths. Not only athletes - there are 14 in all that Teleperformance supports - but also people living in the local communities where the company operates. Starting with the employees' families - any type of family - who can benefit from the welfare provided by the group, and ending with the immigrant children who, thanks to the scholarships - there are five this year - will soon graduate.
The runner-up
.The healthcare sector has historically been attentive to issues of inclusion, not least because in promoting the quality of care and wellbeing of patients it has developed the same concern for its employees.
