The world’s best Executive MBAs? ESCP Turin, SDA Bocconi and Polimi feature in the top 100
The ranking takes into account a number of criteria, including the current salaries and career progression of former students, and the international element of the courses
The British newspaper *Financial Times* has published its annual ranking for executive education, compiling a list of postgraduate master’s programmes in economics and business management – the Executive Master’s in Business Administration (EMBA) programmes. And among the top 100 in the world are three programmes in Italy: at the Politecnico di Milano, at the Bocconi University and at the Italian campus of the Paris-based ESCP Business School.
The ranking takes into account a number of criteria, including the current salaries and career progression of former students, and the international element of the courses.
Whilst the top spot in the rankings goes to the EMBA Kellogg-HKUST – a joint programme between the US-based Kellogg School of Management and the Japanese HKUST Business School – ESCP’s Executive MBA programme makes it into the top five, coming in fifth place.
ESCP Business School, founded in Paris, has seven European campuses: Turin, Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris, Beirut and Dubai. The Piedmont campus thus ranks first amongst Italian institutions and third amongst European ones, as well as securing second place for the programme’s international experience – with over 90 per cent of participants and lecturers coming from abroad. “I am particularly proud of the contribution that the team and faculty at the Turin Campus make to this achievement, through their constant efforts to ensure a rigorous, up-to-date educational programme capable of generating tangible value for participants and preparing the leaders of tomorrow”, says Professor Alberta Di Giuli, Dean of ESCP Turin.
To find the other Italian institutions, you have to look a little further down the list: the EMBA programme at the SDA Bocconi School of Management has dropped to 40th place, falling fifteen places compared with 2025. The Polimi School of Management remains outside the top seventy, occupying 89th place (last year it was 77th).
