Almost 60 million earmarked for the regeneration of the territory, health, social inclusion, the fight against poverty, environmental protection and many other social and solidarity spheres. These are the numbers of the fundraising carried out in favour of 350 organisations of the Third Sector by the Banca dei Territori Division of Intesa San Paolo, through the Impact Department, donations that from 2017 to last June supported over 500 projects of high social value.
Digital Platforms
.The tool used is For Funding, the online platform for fundraising that is the leader in Italy in crowdfunding that Intesa Sanpaolo dedicates to non-governmental organisations and non-profit associations to tell, promote and finance social solidarity projects. The digital platform - based on a model of collection in favour of third-sector realities that is transparent, accessible to all, customers and non-customers alike, and free of charge - already played an important role during the Covid-19 emergency, raising 5.3 million to support social and health projects.
Still on the corporate responsibility front, Intesa Sanpaolo also promotes the Formula programme, in which it participates both in the promotion of campaigns, through the Bank's official channels, and in fundraising by directly donating a unit contribution of EUR 2 for many of the products purchased by customers online. The model allows the visibility of projects to be amplified and the social impact of donations to be multiplied, thanks also to the involvement of the Regional Departments within the Banca dei Territori Division.
Facilitated finance
.The bank is also very active on the front of subsidised financial instruments. The Impact Department, in particular, accompanies more than 100,000 organisations of the Third Sector, to which it disburses approximately300 million of subsidised credit every year for projects supporting the weaker sections of society. The social impact of the projects is assessed annually and offers opportunities to those in difficulty, facilitating access to essential needs such as housing, health, education and job placement.
By promoting the active participation of communities and giving concrete form to the values of solidarity and social responsibility, For Funding is part of the broader Esg strategy of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, which confirms its desire to be an institution at the service of the real and social economy, and its commitment to building a more equitable and supportive future by creating an impact on society and the territories in which it operates.
