The Most Beautiful Race in the World is ready to set off from Brescia to tackle a 1,900-kilometre route divided into five days of racing, a total of 144 time trials and nine media trials. The 420 cars will create a real travelling museum unique in the world. After the start from Viale Venezia in Brescia, the first stage will end in San Lazzaro di Savena (Bologna). Wednesday will see the arrival in the capital, after which the third stage will end in Cervia-Milano Marittima. On Friday, the crews will cross Italy from East to West: having reached the Tyrrhenian Sea, the passage through the Livorno Naval Academy will seal the partnership with the Italian Navy, indicative of the collaboration and closeness that the Armed Forces and Police have always reserved for the 1000 Miglia. In Parma, the conclusion of the fourth stage will precede the grand finale on Saturday 21: from noon the cars will return to Viale Venezia before the public's greeting in Piazza Vittoria with the parade in the festive atmosphere of the Music Festival. As Sole 24 Ore we will follow the Bologna - Rome stage, at the wheel of a Mercedes car.
Mille Miglia 2025, protagonists and curiosities
Who will win the Mille Miglia 2025? Andrea Vesco and Fabio Salvinelli continue to be the favourites after their four consecutive victories on board the 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 SS Zagato. Gianmario Fontanella and Anna Maria Covelli, after two consecutive second places with the Lambda Casaro VII Serie of 1927, will attempt to take first place along with other pretenders such as Tonconogy-Ruffini, Turelli-Turelli, Sisti-Gualandi, Di Pietra-Di Pietra, Belometti-Ricca and Belotti-Plebani. Among the competing crews there are also some well-known faces: at the wheel of a 1954 Porsche 356 1500 Speedster will be Joe Bastianich, who will compete remotely with former Masterchef colleague Carlo Cracco, navigator of Ezio Ronzoni in a 1927 Bugatti T40. Also playing the role of co-driver will be the Honourable Mariastella Gelmini, competing in a 1952 Ermini Glico 1100 Motto. Then aboard an Alfa 1900 Super Sprint from 1956 will be sailors Max Sirena and Giulia Conti.
