The new issue of 24 Hours tells of watches projected into the future of research, but which also look to the past and to the roots of heritage. The cover story features the haute horlogerie of Gucci, which adds an important piece to its long adventure in the world of hands, thanks to models with complications such as the minute repeater in the Gucci 25H Minute Repeater and the flying tourbillon and jumping hours in the Gucci Interlocking. It continues with Iwc's Portugieser Eternal Calendar, a timepiece that continues the brand's perpetual calendar tradition with a perpetual calendar accurate to 45 million years: it has entered the Guinness World Records. Then there is the Submersible Elux LAB-ID, inspired by a patent from the brand's past, which introduces an innovative mechanical system capable of illuminating hour markers, hands and part of the bezel on demand. When it comes to watchmaking evolution, Richard Mille occupies a front-row seat: the RM 27-05 Tourbillon Volante Rafael Nadal weighs just 11.50 grams and has a case made of a new ultra-resistant composite material. The reading continues with the new Perpetual 1908 in platinum whose dial shows just how much care Rolex takes in creating the "face" of the watch. Space was then given to the new models in Breguet's Marine collection, which maintain the historic link with the world of the Navy, and with the reinterpretations of the first Tortue from 1912 presented in the exclusive Cartier Privé line. Modernity with hints of the past can be found in the surprising Arsham Droplet model, created by Hublot with New York artist Daniel Arsham: it can be a pocket watch, a table clock or a pendant. Staying on the artistic theme, Chanel's Musical Clock Couture Workshop is a table clock, but also an automaton and a music box. Louis Vuitton renews its Escale collection with great elegance. There is also a gallery with themed watches by Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, Chopard, Tag Heuer, Grand Seiko and Wyler Vetta. In the September issue, space is given to interviews: Ferrari's official GT driver, Alessandro Pier Guidi, winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 24 Hours of Daytona, a friend of the brand for Garmin, and Luca Nardi, one of the promising Italian tennis players ready to take off, chosen by Rado in its Young Star programme. The precious watches corner is dedicated to Bulgari's spectacular Aeterna collection, narrated by Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, the maison's creative watch director. Finally, the new format of Hausmann & Co. in Rome, the Edge boutique, inaugurated in June by the historic retailer on the occasion of its 230th anniversary.
