(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - The Tokyo Stock Exchange closed higher. The market was largely buoyed by technology shares, although gains were held back by fears of a resurgence in inflation and uncertainty ahead of the speech to be delivered by Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh in Jackson Hole. At the close of trading, the Nikkei Index posted a gain of 0.41 per cent, settling at 66,405.56 points. The broader Topix index also rose slightly, posting a gain of 0.75% at the close of trading to settle at 4,148.07 points.
