Filt Cgil, Fit Cisl, Uilt, Uglt and Faisa Cisal have proclaimed the third national 24-hour strike action for Friday 8 November, this time without the respect of the guarantee bands, in support of the renewal of the national contract expired at the end of 2023. The unions are protesting against 'the lack of resources, the lack of planning policies, the reform of the sector and health and safety at work'.
All metro lines closed in Rome due to the transport strike
.Metro stops and bus reductions in Rome. At the moment, according to Atac updates, all metro lines (A, B, B1 and C) and the Termini-Centocelle line are closed. Severe reductions also for surface transport.
In Milan 3 metros closed and few buses around
Three metro lines closed along the entire route, one off limits only in part, and few buses, trams and trolleybuses in circulation. This is the scenario of the national strike in Milan, with the city and the hinterland shrouded in fog in the early morning. As usual, there will be two guarantee bands: from the beginning of the service until 8.45 am and from 3 pm to 6 pm, during which the metro lines 1, 2, 3 and 5 and the 4 between San Cristoforo and San Babila are guaranteed to run. The M4 route between San Babila and Linate airport will instead be covered throughout the day. After 8:45 a.m., Atm said this morning, the metro lines 1, 2 and 3 closed, while the 5 runs between Bignami and Tre Torri and the 4 is open. "Consider possible longer waits at tram, bus and trolleybus stops: the service is reduced," reads the Atm app, which updates on the situation of the strike proclaimed in support of the renewal of the Ccnl by the Filt-Cgil, Fit-Cisl, Uiltrasporti, Faisa Cisal and Ugl Fna unions. The M1, M2, M3, M5 lines and the M4 San Cristoforo-San Babila route are guaranteed from 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m., the M4 San Babila-Linate route all day long. As far as buses, trams and trolleybuses are concerned, only some lines are guaranteed at certain times. Trams 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 12, 24 and buses 45, 54, 56, 57, 58, 60, 74, 81, 90, 91, 95 and 98 were guaranteed until 8.45 a.m. and are guaranteed from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. All other lines (including B10 and B12) are not guaranteed. As far as the night network is concerned, after one o'clock the trolleybuses 90/91 and the buses of the night network are guaranteed, including the NM1, NM2, NM3 and NM4 lines.
From 9 am metro stops in Turin
The Turin underground is stopped. Gtt, the public transport company of the City of Turin, informs that due to the adhesion to the strike from 9 am the service is suspended. The service was guaranteed from 6am to 9am and will be partially guaranteed from 12pm to 3pm.
Total blockade in Naples, traffic in tilt
There is only the metro line 2, operated by Ferrovie dello Stato, to guarantee citizens' mobility in Naples. Total blockade for Eav trains, funiculars, trams and buses and for metro line 1, which suspends service at 9.30 am. Significant consequences on city traffic, which is clearly critical in many places.
