Toyota Rav4, prices unveiled: here is how much the new one costs
It will go on sale at the beginning of 2026, but Toyota has made the prices official and opened orders. Two options, full hybrid at prices from EUR 45,200 and plug-in hybrid at prices from EUR 55,700, for four trim levels
Key points
The sixth generation of the Toyota RAV4, with a legacy of 15 million cars seen around the world in over 180 weights, is a 460 cm long SUV with an all-new design and an even more articulated range, and is available with a 183 hp full hybrid engine using a 2,500 cc naturally aspirated four-cylinder with automatic transmission. The package includes an electric motor, a generator and a set of gears working in synergy. The new RAV4 is also offered in an all-wheel drive variant for an extra 2,500 euros, except for the GR Sport level which offers it as standard, built on the basis of an electric motor at the rear that increases power to 191 hp.
The details of the plug-in hybrid version
There is also a plug-in hybrid variant with rechargeable battery which, despite using the same 2,500 cc as the full hybrid, has a more powerful electric motor powered by a 22.68 kWh lithium ion battery to cover up to 100 km of zero-emission range, 26 km more than the model it replaces. The total power of the system is 268 hp for the front-wheel drive version and 304 hp for the all-wheel drive version, which includes a second electric motor to drive the rear wheels. The whole system will guarantee a range of over 1,000 km. The Adas package is also substantial, based on the new generation of Toyota Safety Sense.
Four trim levels: RAV4, Icon, Premium and GR Sport
Standard equipment on the RAV4 trim includes bi-zone automatic climate control, rear air vents, steering wheel controls, 12.3-inch instrumentation, Bluetooth connectivity, USB-C, a multimedia system with a 12.9-inch screen, network-connected navigation, a start button, a digital key, EV mode, a selector for the three driving modes Eco, Normal, Sport, soft-touch front door handles, an entry lighting system, a front and rear ambient light and a fabric interior.
In addition what the other Icon and Premium levels offer
The RAV4 level is also equipped with passenger seat occupant detection sensor, rear seat occupant detection sensor, 60/40 split-folding second row seats, electrochromatic interior mirror and LED headlamps and taillights. Icon adds a wireless smart phone charger, electric tailgate, ventilated driver and passenger seats and a heated steering wheel with red headlamps. The Premium model also features a 45 W front USB connector, synthetic leather interior and new 20-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels that improve aerodynamics and road stability.
The GR Sport trim is the top of the new range
At the top of the range is the GR Sport trim, which is only offered with all-wheel drive and includes a whole series of specific aesthetic customisations: 20-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels with 235/50R20 tyres, wide black GR Sport-style mudguards, GR-S synthetic leather knee pads on the rear console, steering wheel-mounted gearstick paddles, GR Sport aluminium pedals and bi-Led headlights. Very few options are available, based on the logic implemented by Toyota across its entire range of thermal and electric cars. The exception is the €1,700 Tech Pack, which includes a 360-degree camera, active lane keeping and traffic control.
