There is growing interest among Italian trade fair companies to strengthen their presence abroad and consolidate their service business, especially the stand construction business.
The latest operation in this sense, in order of time, is the one announced by Italian Exhibition Group, the listed group that owns the Rimini and Vicenza trade fairs. Ieg has completed the acquisition of the American FB International, of which it now controls 100% through IEG USA.
The governance of the American company was also renewed, with the appointment of Tommaso Cancellara in the role of President & Ceo. The Board of Directors is instead chaired by Chairman Carlo Costa, who is also CEO of the entire IEG group.
Since 1988, FB International Inc. has been designing and setting up exhibitions and events throughout the United States and had joined the IEG Group in 2018. "In 2023," says Tommaso Cancellara, "FB International was involved in 130 events and its turnover was $27 million, acting as general contractor or appointed contractor.
In total, FB International employs more than 100 collaborators and a 'multicultural team' that follows the projects and speaks in all languages, including Italian, to realise the exhibition projects.
