How does one become a fleet manager or mobility manager? This is no small question, given the increasing importance that these professions are assuming in Italian companies. In mobility management, then, new technologies, and in perspective artificial intelligence, are taking on an increasingly prominent role. "For some time now, Ai has been present in the automotive world," points out Riccardo Vitelli, president of the Top Thousand Observatory. "The fleet manager of the future will have to deal with a lot of reports and data if he wants to have an effective and efficient fleet: this is why Ai will be very important for the evolution of corporate fleets".

These considerations confirm the high value of training and further education also in the field of corporate mobility. Various players, both institutional and private, are active in this field. "Traditionally, the job of fleet manager is learned in the field," adds Giovanni Tortorici, president of Aiaga. "However, the opportunity to update thanks to the courses available for fleet and mobility managers is essential." This is why Aiaga is also committed to training, considering it indispensable for the professional growth of its members. As proof of this commitment, the association sponsors and participates in regular training events and has set up a system for awarding training credits, which can be earned by attending masters, courses, seminars, conferences or training events. These include the Fleet Manager Academy, which takes place twice a year, in spring in Milan and in autumn in Bologna, and is characterised by an intensive all-day seminar programme. The next edition will be on 8 October at the Fiera di Bologna and, as usual, will be packed with content and testimonials from leading players in the world of mobility.

Remaining in the Emilia region, the University of Bologna has also materialised its interest in these issues by proposing a master's degree in 'Sustainable and integrated mobility in urban regions'. In Milan, on the other hand, a course for Mobility Manager has recently started, organised by Sole 24 Ore Formazione and designed to provide professionals with the skills to deal with the corporate mobility scenario, with a focus on sustainability and innovation. Also focusing on the figure of the mobility manager is a course by Assolombarda Servizi, starting next October. The same organisers are also offering a training course for fleet managers, starting in June, with in-depth studies on car policy, car lists, sharing mobility, the evolution of engines and more.

It is not only fleet managers and mobility managers who focus strongly on training: brokers, who are becoming increasingly important in the spread of Nlt, are also active in this sector. In particular, Amina, the trade association, has committed itself to organising periodic courses to train the figure of the Mobility Consultant, who is able to follow and guide customers in their mobility choices. "We put a lot of emphasis on this figure, so much so that we have also set up a professional register, available on our association's website, in which we include all those who attend this course," confirms Amina president Iacopo Chelazzi.
