Transport strike: end of February at risk for planes and trains. Here are the dates
It starts on Thursday 26th with a protest across Italy by airline workers
February ends with numerous strikes in the transport sector. Not only the aviation sector but also the railway and local transport sectors are at risk.
Air transport
Crossing the arms on Thursday 26 will be airline workers throughout Italy. Affected will be Ita Airways, easyJet and Vueling. This date, was identified after the preceptions of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Matteo Salvini, following the coincidence with the holding of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.
Rail transport
From Friday 27 to Saturday 28 February abstention in the railway sector. The driver and on-board staff of the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane group will strike for 24 hours (from 21.00 on the 27th to 20.59 on the 28th) nationwide. Also on a national level, the staff of companies carrying out railway activities - rail freight transport - will be affected.
Local transport
On the 27th, the staff of the company Arriva Italia of Torino and the operating operators of the company Ferrovie Sud Est e Servizi Automobilistici of Bari will strike locally.
