24-hour strike of FS staff underway. Delays of up to 100 minutes at Roma Termini

A day of inconvenience for passengers and commuters who use trains to travel and also go to work due to the national strike involving FS, Italo and Trenord group personnel. The protest proclaimed by the autonomous trade unions Usb and Sgb in support of the contractual renewal puts at risk the circulation of trains and local public transport from 1.00 to midnight on Friday 23 May.
Delays and cancellations
.Cancelled trains or trains with delays of up to 100 minutes are reported at Termini station in Rome.
At Bologna Centrale there are already a dozen cancelled trains, including regional and long-distance high-speed trains, and some delays, up to 35 minutes at the moment for departing trains.
Disruptions at the Florence junction. At the station of Santa Maria Novella, some trains were cancelled, such as the HS train arriving at 12.11 from Roma Termini and some regional trains from Foligno, Pisa and Viareggio expected after 12 noon. There were limited delays, up to a maximum of 25-30 minutes, for the trains that were running. The strike penalised the movement of tourists while commuters, who had been able to inform themselves, organised themselves by private car or road transport.
Dozens of trains were cancelled at Naples Central Station. Regular service on line 1 and the funiculars and no consequences for trams and buses and the Eav lines, hiccups instead for line 2 operated by Trenitalia, with about 50 per cent of journeys cancelled or delayed. At 4 p.m., the precept decided by the prefect of Naples for this line was triggered.
