Twelve months of time and work, thanks to the renewal of the Stellantis order and the withdrawal of the dismissal procedure for the almost 300 workers employed by Trasnova, Logitech, Teknoservice and Csa, companies engaged in services and logistics close to the Italian plants of Stellantis. Thus, after days of mobilisation and protests, the dispute of the workers at the Pomigliano, Melfi, Cassino and Mirafiori sites has come to an end. Time is therefore taken, 'the time gained will have to be useful to find structural solutions for Trasnova and the entire sector,' write the unions.
"In today's meeting held at Mimit, following the opening of redundancy procedures towards more than 300 workers of Trasnova, Logitech, Teknoservice and Csa after the communication of withdrawal of all orders by Stellantis, at the unitary trade union request we obtained the extension of the service contracts for 12 months and therefore the revocation of all redundancies". The communication of Fim, Fiom, Uilm, Fismic, Uglm and Aqcfr in a joint note comes in the middle of the afternoon, at the end of the meeting at Mimit.
At this point, all attention is focused on the table on 17 December dedicated to the entire automotive sector. A sector overwhelmed by a crisis of European origin, linked to the difficulties of transition, to which is added an all-Italian peculiarity, linked to the drop in Stellantis production volumes, volumes that this year will remain below the one million vehicles threshold.
Stellantis: agreement stems from our sense of responsibility
The agreement signed at Mimit 'comes in the wake of the sense of responsibility of Stellantis, which, in recent days, had given its willingness to support Trasnova in resolving this delicate situation'. This was reported in a note from the automotive group.
"It was in fact Stellantis itself," he emphasises, "that proposed this type of solution, which will enable Trasnova, over the next 12 months, to intervene in order to achieve an overall and definitive solution for the workers involved using the appropriate instruments that regulate crisis situations and, according to the agreement, also to find measures to diversify its customer base. In thanking Mimit for its support during this phase, Stellantis reiterates that today's agreement constitutes a specific solution for Trasnova and that the problems of the automotive sector will be addressed at the table set up at Mimit, which will be the natural forum in which all the actors involved will have to define strategies for overcoming this difficult transitional phase. Stellantis,' he adds, 'will continue with plans aimed at enhancing its assets and resources within individual plants in order to protect the jobs of its people and reduce the use of social shock absorbers in the transition process towards electric mobility.
