Iceland, Singapore and Denmark are the three safest countries to travel in 2025.

This is the word of HelloSafe, the British financial product comparison platform that changes focus every now and then and focuses on holidays: its Travel Safety Index, just published, examines 35 indicators grouped into five macro-categories by analysing big data from various UN agencies, the World Bank and many other international organisations.

Europe Queen of Security

.

The big winner of 2025 is Europe, which places no less than nine countries in the global top ten (some of them unsuspected).

After the gold medal of Iceland and the bronze medal of Denmark, we have from the fourth position Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Finland, Ireland and Hungary.

Next, from 13th place areSlovakia, Estonia and Portugal, with Holland rounding out the top 20.

Outside the Old Continent, in addition to silver medallist Singapore, Bhutan and Qatar also did well (11th and 12th respectively).

Italy postponed, France failed

Italy does not shine: we find it in 33rd position, two steps below Belgium.

But what is surprising is the terrible score obtained by France, even eighth, penalised by thealways high risk of acts of terrorism.

The worst: Philippines, Colombia and Mexico

.

Violence, social tensions and conflicts instead unite the countries at the bottom of the ranking: Philippines close the ranking, with Colombia and Mexico completing the 'reverse podium'.

Bad India and Russia, but surprisingly also the United States, where the risk of terrorism is compounded by increasingly tearing social conflicts.
