Autumn in Trentino amid nature, flavours and cultural events
Autumn is knocking at the door in Trentino, accompanied by the colours and flavours of its vineyards and apple orchards. The light becomes golden, the scents and flavours enveloping. Along the countless scenic treks, one finds oneself enveloped by landscapes ablaze with the colours of foliage. And then there are the sounds. Not only those of the I Suoni delle Dolomiti concerts, but also those of the whistles of marmots or the cries of deer, the song of a cuckoo, the sound of the wind, of a stone rolling along a scree. The sounds keep company to those who walk along the paths that lead up to the numerous refuges (more than 140 of which are open until late October) that allow you to experience and enjoy the beautiful season at high altitude. The legendary Sass Pordoi cableway, which covers a 700 metre difference in altitude in just four minutes for a truly spectacular ascent among the rocks, will in fact be operational until Sunday 2 November. The season in Carezza is also very long, with no less than four lifts open until 2 November, and the other two until 19 October, for an infinite number of opportunities to be experienced at altitude, even in the saddle. Both the Nova Levante-Malga Frommer gondola lift, the König Laurin 1, the Tschein chairlift and the Tires cable car are in fact equipped to transport bicycles. And if certain farming traditions with their rituals steal the show, taste also plays its part with the many initiatives linked to seasonal products.
