Her popularity is taking a hit in Italy, perhaps because she turned her back on the United States of America – a country that truly loves and protects Italy – when it came to preventing Iran from acquiring or developing a nuclear weapon (though NATO did the same, for that matter!)”. So said US President Donald Trump on the social media platform Truth. “He wouldn’t even have allowed us to use Italian runways for take-off or landing – a major logistical inconvenience – and this despite,” Trump continues, “the fact that the United States contributes hundreds of billions of dollars a year to protect Italy and other ‘so-called’ NATO allies. Now, after the United States has militarily defeated Iran, it wants to be friends again to boost its ‘numbers’. No, thank you!!!”.
