Donald Trump, together with his sons and some entrepreneurs, launched online on X overnight his cryptocurrency platform, on which he was stingy with details, but which will allow direct transactions, without intermediation.
The launch, which was not postponed after thefailed Palm Beach golf club bombing, lasted two hours and it was learned that the World Liberty Financial platform will provide users with 'tokens' and the ability to vote in business decisions, and that it will provide services based on so-called 'decentralised finance'. This is based on blockchain technology and in theory keeps track of transactions in an encrypted and secure manner. It will make it possible to buy, sell or exchange cryptocurrencies directly from user to user, without intermediation.
Trump's son Donald Jr. stated during the presentation that this is the beginning of a 'financial revolution'.
In previous years Donald Trump had called cryptocurrencies "a scam", but during the election campaign the presidential candidate turned it around, promising to make the US the "crypto capital of the planet" with light regulation and a national Bitcoin reserve.
