Donald Trump has warned the Supreme Court that if he is disqualified from the vote 2024 he will unleash "chaos and bedlam across the nation". This is stated in the arguments presented by his lawyers to the highest US court that must rule on the immunity of the former president. "Excluding me from the 2024 ballot would disenfranchise tens of millions of Americans" and "unleash chaos and bedlam across the nation".
Meanwhile, on the subject of the trials of 'The Donald', the Biden administration's Justice Secretary Merrick Garland spoke out in an interview with CNN: 'Whether or not the trials of Donald Trump begin near the presidential election is not up to us, it's up to the justice system. The former president claims he is the victim of a 'witch hunt' by the Justice Department accused of being a 'political tool' in the hands of the White House. Garland has always claimed judicial independence in all investigations, whether against Trump or Hunter Biden.
From the ranks of the Republican party, then, comes a torpedo from Nikki Haley, who lashes out at both Trump and Joe Biden for not wanting to participate in debates with their opponents. "Neither of them wants to do that, both of them feel they don't need to show voters the differences between them and the others," she added, stressing that the US "needs a new generation leader" and that "most Americans don't want to see a rematch between Trump and Biden."
