After nearly an hour, a Donald Trump, visibly agitated, abruptly cut short his interview with Kristen Welker, a journalist from NBC News, which was recorded on Friday in Wisconsin and aired today. This came after the journalist insisted that he had provided no evidence whatsoever to support his disputed claims that the 2020 election had been ‘stolen’ from him.
Trump: ‘You’re biased, let’s leave it at that’
“You are a biased and dishonest network,” thundered the president. “Let’s wrap this up, because I’ve had enough. Thank you, dear. Good luck with the rest,” the tycoon cut in. Welker insisted that Trump continue, reminding him that she had travelled to Wisconsin specifically for the interview, but the president refused, claiming he had “sat in the rain with you for an hour”. “I’ve given you enough time. You should fall into line. A country can never be great with a dishonest press,” he snapped. The journalist then revealed that she had spoken to the president again and that he had agreed to grant her a second interview.
