Turicchi (Cdp Real Asset): 'Housing, more commitment for young people in their first job and essential workers'

"Housing is a fundamental social infrastructure for the integration of every individual into the economic and social fabric. This is why we will continue to strengthen our commitment to initiatives that, in addition to offering housing at affordable conditions to those who do not have easy access to the free market, promote sociality and integration through shared spaces and services". This was stated by the new CEO of Cdp Real Asset Sgr (Cdp Group), Antonino Turicchi, speaking at the opening conference of Urbanpromo dedicated to the theme The Italian Constitution and the housing issue.

Cdp's model of intervention, Turicchi explained, is one that sees it act in support of housing solutions for various sectors of the population alongside banking foundations, market operators and institutional investors: "Today, our investments cover the entire life cycle of social housing: from social housing for young people and families, to student housing for students away from home; from senior housing for the self-sufficient elderly, to service housing, to encourage job mobility for young professionals in their first jobs and workers in essential state services.

At a national level, the new CEO added, "with the resources of the Cdp Group, 11,600 social housing units have already been built, more than 7,000 beds in student halls of residence, and 700 flats for the self-sufficient elderly have recently been added. Since this year, Cdp Real Asset has been committed to supporting service housing initiatives, to help on the one hand those workers who often have great difficulty in finding decent, sustainable housing close to the place to which they travel for their work needs, and on the other hand businesses that - precisely because of this - struggle to find a qualified workforce. It is no coincidence that service housing is one of the priority areas for development in the cooperation agreement that the Cdp Group recently signed with Confindustria.
