Tuscany, Giani's new Giunta: there is also the 'happiness delegation'
The president was re-elected and, after a week, announced the competences of all councillors
A pluralist junta thanks to 'a balance of delegations' and 'a strong investment in young people'. So said Eugenio Giani, who took office - for the second time - as President of the Region of Tuscany.
Giani's delegations
A team of eight councillors, already presented a few days ago. Now, however, it is clear what all their competences will be. 'The first session was very positive,' added Giani, 'we are compact and motivated.
The president will be delegated to budget, personnel, participations, sport and energy. The undersecretary for the presidency, Bernard Dika, will manage relations with the regional council and support the president's delegations.
Eight councillors
Vice-President Mia Diop, of the Democratic Party, will be delegated to international cooperation, peace, participation activities, and legality. Monia Monni (Pd) will be councillor for health and social affairs. Leonardo Marras (Pd) will be delegated to the economy, including industrial activities, crafts, agriculture, quarries, spas and tourism.
For Alessandra Nardini, school, housing, immigration and reception and culture of memory. Filippo Boni (Pd) will be councillor for town planning, infrastructure and transport.
