It has expanded its headquarters in an industrial area at the centre of a redevelopment project. And it aims to open up to the small and medium-sized enterprise market in the coming months. The latest financial statements of Ubroker, a Collegno-based company active in the supply of electricity and natural gas, reached 135 million euros, with a 61% increase over 2023, a consolidated EBITDA of 21.4 million, a net profit of more than 5.5 million, and further growth in revenues and operating profit in prospect.
"A focus on energy-saving issues and a new, highly digital business model to lower energy costs for private and SME customers are the hallmarks of uBroker," explains Angelo Sidoti, uBroker's CEO and cfo. In a sharply rising energy price market, in which it is not possible for operators at the end of the supply chain to influence the cost of energy, uBroker has adopted a disruptive business model and aims to optimise the services provided thanks to technology - 5 million euros invested in external IT infrastructures, about 600,000 euros a year spent on maintaining the internally developed infrastructure - and thanks to an area dedicated to customer service management.
"We are an IT company that sells services," adds the CEO, "we do not use external suppliers or call centres. We were the first to develop a system centred on membership and discounting to trust customers based on word of mouth, to accumulate points to be discounted later on the invoice". Among the aim-impact projects Ubroker is working on is the redevelopment of a large area in the municipality of Collegno, at the centre of a major Industrial District development project, which currently includes three factories, one of which has just been inaugurated.
June saw the start of the sale of totally green electricity through Reset, the full-digital company set up in 2024 with an innovative business model, thanks to a system of consumption monitoring, supply control, and attention to savings. "We count for the first months of 2026 to launch, through the other newco UniPower, products dedicated to the world of SMEs," says the CEO. The performance achieved by uBroker over the past year, he adds, testifies to resilience and adaptability in a competitive market.
"From this point of view, Italy is a country that favours the development of new business models related to energy thanks to the extensive digitisation of the network, which is an all-Italian characteristic and which in fact acts as a real enabler for new players in the sector.
