EU: Pignataro calls for fiscal policies to facilitate the rapid adoption of new technologies

Europe needs “fiscal policies to stimulate the rapid adoption of new technologies”. This was stated by Andrea Pignataro, founder of the Ion Group, in relation to the Draghi report and European growth strategies. “The Draghi report identifies disparities in growth – particularly in productivity – due to technological gaps,” explains the entrepreneur. “In the 1950s, Europe grew by 5 per cent for a decade because new technologies were being adopted: a period of renaissance is now possible if these technologies are adopted, although it is easier for medium-sized enterprises to do so than for large corporations.”
