Ukraine: Trump says Zelensky must stop attacking Russian refineries

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Donald Trump has urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to cease attacks on Russian refineries, which, according to the US President, only serve to exacerbate “the global problem” of diesel shortages. “He’d do well to stop,” Trump warned at a White House press conference, following the announcement of Russian diesel deliveries to the United States. “It’s a war that should never have started,” he reiterated. Referring to Zelensky, he added: “We told him he could do whatever he wanted, but to avoid targeting refineries because that would cause a global problem. He’d better stop.”
