Ukraine, Zelensky announces new phase in the use of long-range weapons
Kiev's new weapons will be able to strike at distances of more than 1,500 kilometres
President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukrainian long-range weapons are capable of hitting targets at distances greater than 1,500 kilometres and that Ukraine will continue to extend this range. Ukrinform reports this, citing the president's Telegram channel.
"A report by General Yevhenii Khmara on our long-range weapons represents a new phase in the use of Ukrainian weapons to limit Russia's war potential. I am grateful to the guys from the Ukrainian Security Service for their precision. The distance as the crow flies is over 1,500 kilometres. We will continue to extend these ranges, and these are fully justified Ukrainian responses to Russian terrorism,' wrote Zelensky, who emphasised that each successful attack reduces the capabilities of Russia's military industry, logistics and oil exports.
"The results are obvious to everyone. It is equally obvious to everyone that Russia must end its war. It is time to turn to diplomacy, and this is a signal that Moscow should listen to," he added. This morning a Ukrainian attack hit an industrial site in the Perm Territory, in the Urals in Russia more than a thousand kilometres east of Moscow. All this while there is controversy with Israel, accused of importing "stolen grain" from the Russians on occupied Ukrainian territories.
