UN Assembly adopts Italy resolution on Olympic truce

The UN General Assembly adopted by consensus the resolution introduced by Italy with which member countries renew support for the Olympic Truce during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. "On behalf of Italy, I present the draft resolution to build a better and peaceful world through sport and the Olympic ideal. At a time of increasing discord and conflict, sport and the Olympic Games can be a beacon of hope. An alternative to rivalry and division,' said Milan-Cortina 2026 Foundation President Giovanni Malagò.
