UniCredit: Golden power clash reignites, bank goes to Council of State

The battle is rekindled, at least from a legal point of view, over the golden power that marked (negatively) the fate of UniCredit's attempted takeover of Banco Bpm.

The bank of Piazza Gae Aulenti, according to rumours of the past few hours, has in fact appealed to the Council of State against the judgement of the Regional Administrative Court on the government's 'golden power' stakes (in relation to the takeover bid, which later failed, on the Piazza Meda institution).

The institute approached does not comment.
